A busy Cambridgeshire road had to be closed due to "incredibly deep" water as the county was hit by Storm Claudia. A road passing under the A1307 in Godmanchester was temporarily closed due to water on the road.

Photos shared online and seen by CambridgeshireLive showed large amounts of standing water on the road.

Cambridgeshire County Council confirmed the road was closed at around 8:20pm on Friday (November 14). The authority confirmed that it had not had many reports of water on the road on Saturday (November 15).

One eye witness posted on social media on Friday afternoon: "Avoid bridge under the a1307 it’s incredibly deep. Large cars maybe water level above number plates."
