A 56-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Mississauga Friday night, said Peel Regional Police.
Officers responded around 9:05 p.m. near Eglinton Avenue West and Fallingbrook Drive to calls of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle, said Peel police on social media.
A 56-year-old man from Mississauga was pronounced dead at the scene, said Peel paramedics.
Police said the driver of the vehicle failed to remain after the incident. They have not shared details of the vehicle at this time.
Pending the investigation by police, east and westbound lanes of Eglinton Avenue in the area have been shut down.
