Sunday brings cooler, seasonal weather with highs in the 40s
High fire danger continues
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Saturday afternoon saw the last of our unusually warm weather as temperatures reached the mid to upper 60s before a cold front moved through the area. Monroe broke a previous record of 65°, set back in 2001, reaching a new daily high of 67°. The front moved through earlier today and is bringing with it gusty northwest winds this afternoon.
Behind the front, much cooler air will move in tonight. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s across southern Wisconsin, marking a significant change from recent mild conditions.
