A young man who was talked down off the edge of a bridge over the M8 by heroic strangers says he has been given "a second chance at life".
Robert Hampson, from Glasgow , was about to take his own life when big-hearted strangers intervened, talking him out of jumping from a footbridge over the motorway .
The 22-year-old, who grew up in care and suffered a traumatic childhood of abuse , felt he had nowhere to turn until they heard what he had to say.
He told Glasgow Live : "I just felt so low, to the point where I was just like 'I can't do this anymore'. And that's when I went over the railing at the bridge.
