Sir Billy Connolly made a rare public appearance this weekend during an emotional moment at a Florida film festival, where he was honoured with an award for artistic excellence.
The 82-year-old comedian, who has largely stayed out of the public eye following his Parkinson's disease diagnosis, left his Florida home to attend the Key West Film Festival, where he was celebrated as the guest of honour.
