VANLUE, Ohio — Three people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Hancock County on Sunday afternoon.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened in the 15000 block of State Route 568, east of Findlay, around 3:30 p.m.
The sheriff’s office says Jeremy Perez Ortega, of Kermit, Texas was pulled off the south side of SR 568 in a gravel lot facing east when he attempted to make a U-turn to head west.
At that time, Ortega’s car was struck by a pickup truck driving east.
Mr. Ortega had to be flown to a hospital in Toledo with what police believe were life-threatening injuries.
A back seat passenger in the car, Griselda Ortega Hernandez, 49, also of Kermit, Texas was also flown to a hospital in Toledo with serious injuries.
