Strong winds will continue to gust between 25 and 35 mph across most of New Jersey through Monday afternoon, though conditions will be less severe than Sunday when gusts topped 50 mph .

Thousands of homes and businesses remained without power as of 7 p.m. Sunday from the fierce wind gusts.

Wind advisories issued for 16 counties expired at 7 p.m., though alerts for the Jersey Shore continue until 10 p.m. and for 5 northeastern counties until 1 a.m. Monday

Monday will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the low to mid 40s, about 10 degrees below normal for mid-November.

Wind chills will make it feel like the 20s during the early morning hours and the 30s throughout the rest of the day.
