INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- On Monday, the Indiana National Guard released the name of a deceased soldier in a crash on Friday, Nov. 14.

Spc. Terry Frye of Lafayette was one of four Indiana National Guard soldiers in a convoy traveling from the Frankfort Armory to Camp Atterbury for training on Friday, Nov. 14. They were then involved in a crash on I-65 in Boone County. Frye died in the crash, and the three other soldiers' conditions have not yet been shared.

All four soldiers served in Company D in the 2nd Battalion of the 151st Infantry Regiment. Frye had served there since March 2020 as an infantryman, earning both the Nation Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.

The accident is under investigation. Share
