KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee football travels down to the swamp on Saturday to play against one of Tennessee’s biggest rivals: the Florida Gators.

Many Vol fans have a tradition of eating alligator meet the week of the game, and the Shrimp Dock in Bearden is preparing for the fans.

“We’ll have the smoked gator by the pound out front as well,” said Shrimp Dock Manager Wesley Henry. “I think we’ve got enough meat to go around.”

Affordability has been one of the main conversations recently and Henry said there isn’t a large difference compared to last year.

“I think there’s a dollar kind of difference. We usually try to do a deep discount on everything. We’re holding the price steady and and earring a dollar in everybody’s favor as best as we can,” said Henry.
