The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is encouraging people across Britain to take five key steps following a sharp rise in flu cases. The latest data revealed hospital admissions for flu in England reached 3.8 per 100,000 people last week, climbing from 2.4 the week before, figures from the UKHSA showed. ‌

While this remains significantly lower than recent yearly peaks, such admission rates are typically not seen until December. The warning follows Australia's largest flu season on record, which usually serves as a reliable indicator of what Britain might face. ‌
