An OAP who ignored medical advice not to drive was involved in a collision that killed a woman. Warwickshire Police said that Alan Charles Parish from Lodge Road, Rugby suffered a medical episode at the wheel on Ashlawn Road in Rugby last year.

This led to a collision that killed Margeurite Thomas, who was a passenger, and also seriously injured the driver of the car involved in the collision. The force said that 74-year-old Parish had been warned by doctors not to drive and to notify the DVLA .
