MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Police announced Tuesday the arrest of a man accused of fatally shooting another man Monday inside Wolfchase Galleria .

Memphis police say 22-year-old Yahir Mejia was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder.

On Monday, police said the shooting believed to be stemmed from an altercation.

Mejia’s mother told investigators he was coming home after the shooting. Memphis Safe Task force members met with his mother when he showed up at the home. After a brief chase on foot, he was taken into custody.

Police have not identified the victim in the shooting.

Mejia will be arraigned on his charges Wednesday.
