MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Each day drivers hit the road with a singular focus of getting from point A to point B. Whether rushing to work or dropping off children at school, the thought of road safety for others often takes a backseat.
Jama Almond wrote in on the WVLT What’s Driving You Crazy on the Roads form and shared her frustrations with common driving behaviors. One of her biggest concerns was people that drive in her blind spot.
“I thought, oh my word, what if I was driving an 18-wheeler? I bet those guys just lose their minds because why would you do that? That’s 18,000 pounds up to 83,000 pounds and you’re right there playing with it like you have no sense to be on the road,” Almond said.
She stressed the importance of considering other drivers’ safety too.
