BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — The family of a local emergency room doctor is making a plea for justice after a hit-and-run put him in the hospital with serious injuries.

The victim, a father of seven and also a grandfather, said the driver was especially cruel after the crash.

On Saddle Club Road in Bargersville , a 911 call from a neighbor described the crash around 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, not far from the intersection of SR 144.

"A man just got hit by a car in front of my house! He's on the ground. He can't move," the caller said. "He can't move his legs and the vehicle like — ran."

That led to a second, devastating call to the family of David Dwyer.

"My neighbor called and I could hear my dad in the background...screaming," recalled daughter Allison Dwyer.
