Shillong, Nov 18: The Meghalaya High Court has directed the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) to prepare a list of all its employees within a week.
A single bench of Justice Hamarsan Thangkhiew during a hearing of the petition filed by 30 employees, who were deregularised and made casual workers, said there is a requirement for the preparation of a comprehensive list by the District Council.
The court said the KHADC has to mention the number of sanctioned posts available and the number of employees in each cadre, who have been appointed against these sanctioned posts.
“Further requirement is for the submission of a list concerning all the employees of the District Council, especially the number of casual employees who are serving in different cadres,” the court said.
