MACON, Ga. — A 16-year-old was taken to a Macon trauma center on Tuesday night after a car crash in Baldwin County, according to a report from the Georgia State Patrol.
The GSP says the 16-year-old, who was driving a Ford F-150, attempted to turn left onto Georgia State Route 49 in Baldwin County. During the turn, the car was struck by a "box-style mail truck" traveling east on SR 49.
The collision flipped the F-150, leaving the 16-year-old trapped, per the GSP. The report says the 16-year-old was flown to a trauma center in Macon with serious injuries.
Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee said he was first notified about the crash around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
The mail truck driver was also taken to a hospital for treatment on non-life-threatening injuries, according to the GSP report.
