WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Tuesday night, the Warner Robins Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of a text amendment that defines data centers and sets guidelines for where they could be located in the city .

Before this amendment, the city had no rules in place for data centers, leaving a gap in the zoning code.

“If a data center is proposed in the city limits of Warner Robins, we would not currently have a way to address that land use specifically,” Planning and Zoning Manager Darin Curtis said.
