HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Thursday will see the return of widespread rain, which will evolve into storms overnight.

Thursday will begin with calm, cloudy skies and high temperatures in the low 60s. However, as we move into the evening, heavy rain is expected to return to the forecast. This rain will continue overnight, developing into storms by Friday morning.

On Friday, storm chances will persist throughout the day, with three rounds of storms anticipated: early morning storms, midday storms, and overnight storms. The rainfall on Thursday and Friday could accumulate to about an inch in the mountains. Temperatures will reach the warmest of the week, hitting the mid to upper-60s.
