Aberdeen have pulled off a major coup after recruiting the man that has helped bring millions into the club .

Darren Mowbray is back at Pittodrie on a full-time basis after the former head of recruitment swapped Scotland's north-east coast for England's south coast.

Mowbray - the brother of former Celtic boss Tony - previously left for Southampton but is now set to work in unison with sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel , head of recruitment Nuno de Almeida and manager Jimmy Thelin .

The quartet are now looking ahead to the January transfer window, with Pfannenstiel looking to open talks with out-of-contract duo Graeme Shinnie and Dante Polvara in the coming weeks, writes Record Sport .
