WASHINGTON — Hunger Games fans are getting their first look at a young Haymitch Abernathy, now that Lionsgate has released the first trailer for "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping."
The latest installment in the "Hunger Games" franchise is a prequel, set during the 50th Hunger Games. It follows the reaping, training and eventual victory of Haymitch, the beloved drunken mentor from the original trilogy.
The movie is based on the book of the same name, which was released earlier this year.
The teaser, which in reality is a full 2:11 trailer, gives fans a first glimpse of a young Haymitch, played by Joseph Zada, as he is selected to compete in the 50th Hunger Games. Because the Games are the second quarter quell, the districts of Panem are required to send twice as many tributes to
