LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It's rare that Nancy Bryant and dog, Serenity don't get out to their backyard near the pond.

"I was sure it was okay, but with her out here, you have those concerns," Bryant said, right before Serenity drank from the pond. "She doesn't go all the way in, just enough to get muddy paws and then she jumps out."

Pond Creek runs through Bryant’s backyard, and she said its water feeds into her pond. The creek is one of three city waterways residents have been advised to avoid following the UPS plane crash.

Three days after the deadly crash, Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) warned people to stay clear of Northern and Southern Ditch, along with Pond Creek due to contamination from runoff.
