President Donald Trump publicly warned a member of his cabinet that he would fire him if he doesn’t soon fix one of Trump’s biggest concerns. While speaking during the U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Wednesday, Trump threatened Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

The threat came while Trump was complaining about Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell’s refusal to lower interest rates. During Wednesday’s speech, Trump spoke about his desire to fire Powell, despite appointing him to the position during his first term as president.

Trump then directed his criticism at Bessent who appears to have been in the audience for the speech.
