SHREVEPORT, La. -- Les Boutiques de Noel — the oldest holiday market in the South — is gearing up to open its decked-out doors for the 51st year.

Last year, the annual fundraiser broke attendance records, drawing about 5,000 holiday shoppers to browse artwork, specialty clothing, craft foods, and other seasonal offerings. This year, about 90 vendors are setting up booths, even more than in 2024.

Elizabeth Glassell, president of the Shreveport-Bossier Opera Guild, says the event continues to play an important role in supporting local makers and entrepreneurs.
