EASLEY, S.C. - The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said an Upstate member of the National Guard has been charged in a child sexual abuse material investigation.

Deputies said the investigation into 45-year-old Jared Allen Dill began in 2024 after detectives received cybertips about his inappropriate activity.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday announced the results of a monthslong major drug bust.

Investigators said timestamped evidence shows Dill uploaded child sexual abuse files until October 2025. Dill went as far as to send explicit photos to strangers in his Army National Guard uniform while serving as a high-ranking officer, deputies said.

The victims reportedly ranged from 5 to 15 years old.
