Emporia State University signed an agreement with the 19 community colleges from the Kansas Association of Community Colleges to facilitate a smoother transition for students transferring from community colleges to ESU.
The “general system-wide transfer agreement” will allow students of any of the 19 community colleges in the state of Kansas recognized by the Kansas Board of Regents to easily transfer courses taken at those colleges to ESU, allowing a large number of them to only need to take courses for two additional years.
“This is designed for students who are in one program, want to finish quickly, and can get their degree in two years' time,” said Greg Schneider, assistant vice president of academic affairs and government relations at ESU.
