PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A one-lane road will become a two-lane road in the future.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation said due to the amount of growth that area has seen and to keep the area safe, Sleepy Hollow Drive in Putnam County is going to expand.

“It simply is one to widen that road and provide a sidewalk and so from Sleepy Hollow Road all the way on (Route) 34 over 15 to Cow Creek there will be a widening project,” Brent Walker, with the West Virginia Department of Transportation, said.

Clyde Campbell, who lives in the area, said a widening project will be a good thing.
