When will Chipotle open in Belmont, NC?

In June, Belmont officials confirmed that a free-standing Chipotle was in the works on Wilkinson Boulevard.

At the time, Belmont Planning Director Tiffany Faro said that a grading permit had been issued to allow for site preparation to begin and that the city was reviewing construction plans and waiting for the development team to finalize details before issuing approvals and a zoning permit.

Around five months later, the nearly-finished building stands in the parking lot near Aldi at 6404 Wilkinson Blvd.

According to restaurant officials, the Belmont location is scheduled to open this winter, though they did not respond when asked to narrow it down to a specific month.

Chipotle currently has 109 restaurants in North Carolina, including one in Gastonia.
