Ketchup is one of Britain's most beloved condiments. From dunking chips into it, to spreading it generously across bacon butties, and much more, many of us eat it on a regular basis.

Yet there's often controversy surrounding where to store it after opening. A divisive matter, numerous people insist ketchup belongs in the kitchen cupboard, while others maintain it should be placed in the fridge to extend its lifespan .

There are also those who vastly prefer it at room temperature, rather than chilled .

Now, one specialist appears to have resolved the argument definitively. A social media video from consumer champion site Which? has broken down exactly where you should keep your ketchup - and why.
