LANCASTER, Ohio — A suspect was taken into custody after Lancaster police responded to a shots fired call on the northwest side of town Friday morning.

The incident happened in the 2600 block of Little Pine Lane just before 2:10 a.m. Police said there were reports of gunshots coming from a residence.

The special response team is at the scene, according to Lancaster police.

Authorities said Lancaster City Schools was notified of the incident and made arrangements to adjust bus routes as needed.

Police told 10TV that a man was taken into custody and that there was no threat to the public. Police will release additional information later.
