DALLAS — Hazmat crews on Friday morning responded to the Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office, where a suspicious package was found, but police say there was no threat.
Dallas Fire-Rescue officials initially reported that its hazmat team was responding to the ICE office, located at 8101 North Stemmons Freeway, around 7 a.m. Friday, on reports of an "unknown substance."
Shortly before 9 a.m., Dallas police said the response stemmed from a suspicious package but that the package had been checked out and no threat was found.
Video from the scene showed a person in a hazmat suit exiting the ICE office building.
