Patrick Beverley’s off-court situation has taken a sharp and public turn, and the fallout, suffice it to say, has already hit his second career. The former NBA guard has built a fresh media lane at Barstool Sports; however, as serious allegations surfaced this week, the company moved fast. The brakes came on. And Beverley’s future in that chair suddenly looks uncertain.

The tension escalated further when disturbing details from a Nov. 20 TMZ report surfaced. That’s when Barstool founder Dave Portnoy stepped in and announced Beverley is stepping away from all company platforms. Portnoy made the call live on “The Unnamed Show” on Wednesday, outlining why the guard’s status had to change immediately.
