Three people were booked into the Morgan County Jail early Friday morning following a drug trafficking investigation.

According to Decatur Police, during the months of October and November, the Decatur Police Department’s Vice/Narcotics Unit opened an investigation in reference to illegal narcotics being distributed within the city limits of Decatur.

On Thursday, members with the Vice/Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigations Bureau, and the Patrol Bureau executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of 1st Avenue SW.

Investigators made contact with 19-year-old Edwin Lorenzo Ramirez, 43-year-old Rolando Edwin Ramirez Vargus, and 43-year-old Ana Ramirez Perez.
