Since 2021, the Norwell boys soccer team has been in a class of its own in Division III. The Clippers hoisted the championship trophy in 2021 and 2023, then came up just short with a title-game loss in 2024. On Saturday, the second-seeded Clippers will appear in their fourth state title game in the past five seasons when they meet No. 4 Greater New Bedford.

The teams will square off Saturday for the Division III title at 4:45 p.m. at Curry College in Milton.

Coming into the season, Norwell head coach Michael O’Dea wasn’t sure what to expect. Seventeen seniors graduated, including two goalies.

Even with a big roster change, the Clippers charged into the season by winning their first 13 games and compiling an 18-0-2 record.
