LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — A Lexington County man will spend the next several decades in prison for sexual assaults that officials said began when the victim was a young child and spanned years.
The 11th Circuit Solicitor's Office said that 39-year-old Alan Rojas Santos pleaded guilty on Nov. 17 to first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The Lexington County Sheriff's Department said it first learned of the incident on Oct. 23, 2024, over a year earlier.
While investigating, deputies learned from the victim that Santos began sexually abusing her when she was eight, with the abuse continuing for an undisclosed number of years. Authorities said he confessed to the crime.
