University of Oregon Professor Andrew Edmund Goble was arrested the morning of Nov. 21 in Eugene on 20 counts of encouraging child sex abuse.
Lane County Sheriff's Office stated detectives served a search warrant at his residence in south Eugene in the 1900 block of Dogwood Drive the morning of Nov. 20. The warrant came from Lane County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, focusing on child exploitation.
He was taken into police custody on 10 counts of encouraging child sex abuse in the first degree and 10 counts of encouraging child sex abuse in the second degree.
