The Honourable Bob Rae, Canada’s 25th ambassador to the United Nations, former premier of Ontario and former member of Parliament spoke publicly for the first time since the end of his five-year term at the UN at Queen’s University this week, offering his thoughts on his long career, the current state of the world, Donald Trump and more.

Rae’s speech was part of the school’s Donald Matthews Lecture Series at Robert Sutherland Hall on Thursday.

Eugene Lang, the acting director of the School of Policy Studies, gushed over Rae, calling the former premier’s life and career as “enormous and consequential.”
