FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 31-year-old Fort Wayne man was sentenced Friday to 12 years in prison for his role in a deadly triple shooting at a strip club last year.

William Tolbert Jr. was one of two men charged in connection with the shooting that claimed the life of 26-year-old Marialuz Margarita Munoz. Breshawn Smith, 28, was also charged in the November 2024 shooting.

Tolbert took a plea deal in March that allowed him to plead guilty to aiding aggravated battery in exchange for one murder and two attempted murder charges against him being dismissed. The agreement required him to share all requested information and assistance in further investigations of the shooting.
