What you need to know about tonight's major disruption from London Euston railway station heading north

Just before 3.30pm this afternoon (November 21), Avanti West Coast announced that all trains heading north to Manchester from London Euston railway station are suspended after a 'serious' fault. The 'major fault' is to the signalling system in the Stafford area, in the middle of the Avanti West Coast route from London Euston to Manchester, Liverpool, Scotland, and north Wales.

Train passengers have been warned 'do not attempt to travel as major disruption is expected until the end of the day'.
