ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - National Adoption Day is the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and Roane County Courthouse celebrated by granting 12 adoptions on Friday.
National Adoption Day is a collective effort to raise awareness of the more than 100,000 children waiting to be adopted from foster care in the United States. During this annual event, courts and organizations in more than 400 communities across the country open their doors to finalize and celebrate adoptions from foster care.
