BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in searching for a missing elderly woman.

Susannah Martin, 72, is described as a white woman, approximately 100 pounds and was last reported seen at her residence on the 1500 block of Toms Road at approximately 10 p.m., possibly wearing a hooded red jacket, according to deputies. Deputies say she is believed to be on foot.

Deputies say she is in the early stages of dementia.
