ATLANTA — An Atlanta man said his storage unit was broken into, but not from a broken lock. He said it was cut from the inside.
"My heart sank because I thought 'Oh my God, I thought we were safe,'" Jake Sedlock said, recalling the moment he realized he had been robbed.
Sedlock said he was dropping off some items last week at a unit he rented at an Extra Space Storage facility in Atlanta.
"I saw that the lock on the door had been tampered with; it had large pincer marks on it, but luckily they didn't get into the lock, so I thought, 'Oh fantastic, they tried to get in, but they did not,'" Sedlock said.
However, once he got inside his unit, Sedlock said he saw chaos. Credit: WXIA
"The place is ransacked, and I immediately saw open boxes, open crates, and everything is just a mess,"
