John Curtis got off to an early lead against St. Thomas More and never looked back after senior running back Jacobi Boudreaux set the tone in a second-round playoff matchup.
St. Thomas More struggled to contain the John Curtis rushing attack, as the No. 7-seeded Patriots finished with 345 rushing yards on Friday at the Shrine on Airline. Three first-half turnovers for No. 10 seed St. Thomas More also contributed to Curtis winning 49-7 to advance to the Division I select quarterfinals.
Boudreaux led Curtis with 125 rushing yards on 11 carries and scored the first three touchdowns of the game. All three of Boudreaux’s touchdowns came in the first quarter, and he was able to rest in the second half as other Curtis running backs carried the load.
