Three people are facing charges following a shooting that injured four people during the city of Concord's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

The shooting happened just before 7:30 p.m. Friday on Union Street S near the intersection with Corban Avenue.

Officials say this was not a random act of violence directed at the public, but rather that the suspects were known to each other.

The Concord Police Department has identified 18-year-old Nasir Ahmad Bostic of Concord as one of the shooters. He is also one of the four gunshot wound victims who were transported to the hospital, and he remains in critical condition.
