VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Three Ships Coffee has received an Honorable Mention in the Global Coffee Awards for its Shiptown Tidewater Espresso, roasted in Virginia Beach. The recognition highlights more than ten years of dedication from Head Roaster and Owner Amy Ewing, roasting apprentice Marcus Smith, and the full production team.

Brad and Amy Ewing founded Three Ships Coffee in 2013 while roasting in their Shadowlawn garage. After growing through the Old Beach Farmers Market, they opened their first café in the ViBe Creative District in 2016. Three Ships now operates two locations in Virginia Beach and one in Norfolk.

Shiptown Tidewater Espresso is the company’s daily house blend. It is known for its approachability, full body, and notes of chocolate, berry, and gentle brightness.
