ATLANTA — Thanksgiving travel is already underway at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
The FAA predicts the busiest Thanksgiving for travel in 15 years.
On Sunday, the holiday rush was already in motion for some travelers who opted to head out early rather than face the peak crowds expected nationwide on Tuesday.
"I've had some Thanksgiving experiences flying like a few days in and out around the days surrounding Thanksgiving and it's been -- a nightmare," said ND, who was traveling with his son Jaiere to Florida.
Kecia Lewis, visiting from New York City, also arrived early to steer clear of the busiest travel days.
"That is exactly why I came on Sunday because I wanted to avoid all of that," Lewis said.
Lewis is one of an estimated 4 million travelers passing through Atlant
