CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Cheektowaga Police have released information on a incident that occurred on Walden Avenue Sunday afternoon.

Police say that officers were dispatched to Walden Ave near Hedwig Avenue at around 3:45 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian that had been struck with reports of several shots fired.

When officers arrived, they located an adult woman, as well as the car that police say may have struck her. Cheektowaga Police say that she succumbed to her injuries and was declared deceased a short time after officers arrived.
