LUMBER CITY, Ga. — A water main break in Lumber City has left some residents without water for almost 24 hours.
Bradshaw said the water main break happened around 4 p.m. Saturday, near a business on Industrial Boulevard.
Dakkia Bradshaw, Telfair county commissioner, said that she was told the water was fixed Sunday around 1:30 p.m.
She said that they were waiting on a pipe to be delivered to fix the break, expecting it to be fixed the next morning.
The pipe wasn't delivered until around 10 a.m. Sunday morning, and although she was told the water was fixed a few hours later, Bradshaw said that some residents were contacting her saying they still didn't have water.
For those who had water, Bradshaw said that the pressure was very low, "just trickling out."
