BOISE, Idaho — According to the Boise Police Department (BPD), a barricaded subject is now in police custody following a lengthy battle for communication.
A news release from BPD explains that around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, BPD responded to reports of a battery case in the 500 block of Americana Boulevard. After police arrived, they found that the suspect had barricaded himself inside a travel trailer, which was parked in a nearby alley.
Multiple attempts were made to communicate with the suspect so that police could take him into custody. Police report that they deployed pepper ball rounds into the trailer, while also deploying a BPD drone to "better observe the suspect," a news release said.
