IDAHO, USA — Idaho State Police (ISP) is increasing its presence across the Gem State ahead of one of the biggest travel weeks of the year.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recently announced that it expects this week to be the busiest Thanksgiving travel week in 15 years.

For people using roads rather than the skies, traffic is also expected to increase, so ISP is taking action.

The most significant law enforcement presence will be on the day before Thanksgiving, according to the Idaho State Police. That day is projected to be the busiest on Idaho roads.

ISP will partner with the Gooding County Sheriff’s Office, Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, Minidoka County Sheriff’s Office and the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office throughout the week as patrols increase.
