2WILKES-BARRE, PA – Police are investigating an assault in which a 20-year-old man was attacked by several individuals and later chased by a suspect armed with a knife late Wednesday night.
The incident began around 10:49 p.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street and ended near Alexander and Elizabeth Streets, where the victim managed to escape and call for help.
Officers arrived to find the victim visibly shaken but uninjured, according to police.
